I am honored and thrilled to announce my candidacy for Florida State Representative District 98. My name is Shelton Pooler, and I am a proud native of Pompano Beach and a graduate of Ely High School Class of '84, with five children and seven grandchildren. I have always been dedicated to nurturing and mentoring young individuals in our district. Currently, I successfully own and operate Pooler's Pest Control and Pooler's Property Management & Services.

If elected as your State Representative, I will collaborate with current Democrats and reach across the aisle to pass crucial legislation that focuses on education, economic development, job creation, and affordable housing. These are key areas that demand attention and improvement in our district.

I believe in serving my community wholeheartedly, as demonstrated by my over 10 years of dedicated service as the President of the Canal Pointe Homeowners Association, Former Democratic Club President, Markham Elementary PTA President, Big Brothers and Big Sisters Mentor, Pompano CRA Advisory Committee Board Member, Kiwanis Club West Deerfield Board Member, I9 Sports Basketball Coach, Homeowners Alliance of Pompano President, Youth on the Move Vice President, Broward Sierra Group and Broward County Black Caucus. Throughout my tenure, I have consistently prioritized the best interests of the people, always striving to help others without any hidden agendas or ulterior motives.

In my campaign, I aim to address the needs and concerns of our district's residents, advocating for policies that will positively impact their lives. By working collaboratively and engaging in open dialogue, we can create a better future for all.
